First of all, I better say sorry about last week, but ah, we did about eighteen dates in about six days, no well, about twenty days, and ah, my voice just gave up altogether. So we hope it's all in condition tonight, but if it's not, cheer cause you're on the radio.

We're not quite we're not really quite sure what ah follows, but we'll have a quick think. Yeah, this is ah, this is I think called Black Dog. Dedicated to a nineteen year old black labradour who lives on the A3 going to Portsmouth.

Good evening. Well that was nice. That was a bit better. The next one sounds like it's gonna be pretty good. A fusion of material. This is a thing from the first album, a long time back. It's called Dazed and Confused.

ah This is another thing off the fourth album. It's called Stairway to Heaven. The gap is caused by John tuning in his bass pedals, if we can explain that. I'll take this time for just a quick swill of tea, hang on. I can't really tell you you, fifty two million of you. It sounds like Bridget the midget, doesn't it? That's why I said fifty five million, or fifty two million, or whatever cause there's a lot of , you know, effort required. Anyway, with the help of John and everybody else, we're gonna get by I think. Right, he's got his medalian, and his leather suit I believe.

Rory Gallagher said that they shouldn't wear spacemen's suit. There's an effort not even worth speaking about.

Before: Going to California
Thank you. Thank you. This is usually the time when we do have a cup of tea, but ah, I think we're gonna sit down instead. If every lead works it'll be the first gig we've done since September the 19th where it's really, first time round off. Yeah, you're doing well my darling. This is a thing from the ah, from the fourth album. It's called Going to California. Quick adjustment. Yeah ah, it there's anybody who hasn't been taking mandrax ah, in the room, fifty two million. It we all think hard enough, maybe we can make it go away, how's that? Right, this is Going to California.

Well that was a relief. That was one as well, right? And if I say to you tomorrow, hold on. You're at your breaking point, you see? You're nearly there. You didn't know where I went, so I thought I had to do like four minutes like that. Mailbag on the melody maker would have had a treat. I can imagine it. I bet they're here now. Joe Public, how do?

We feel a little looser now. How do you feel? A little looser? But that's the whole element behind it all. It's as ah, the barrier's down and everybody's very nice and warm.

Thank you. I'm afraid that's all we got time for this week folks. This is all very, hang on, hang on. Last time we came to the BBC we had this problem. This time it's our fault. It seems the management's pulled out the plugs. Well that's better. Here's one from way way back.
