Good evening. It's ah, it's more than a pleasure to be back in ah, Montral again. ah Tonight we intend to try and, we been playing together now for nearly seven years, and ah, it is our intention this evening to try and give you what is a crossection of the music that we've been able to write together during the last seven years. This ah, this will include ah, material from the new LP called Physical Grafitti, which comes out in about two weeks time. Some stuff that you haven't heard yet, and some stuff that possibly you have heard. This is one of the ones that you might have heard.

Thank you. Seem to have a problem with guitar leads. It'll only take a second. So that was something that you knew, yes? This is something, this is something that you will hear for the first time. Takes us back to the original influences that started Led Zeppelin in the first place. When it starts.

This is a song that ah, we wrote after a lot of travelling, a lot of hotels, a lot of towns, a lot of different people, different races, languages, creeds, sects, and a lot of relationships. Good and bad. We found in the end that the basic common factor to one, is not a bottle, but is in fact The Song Remains the Same.

Instrument because everytime we take it somewhere it goes out of tune. It's built and comprised of tapes inside the box ah, and to simulate violins is not an easy job when you're travelling North America. In fact, we're gonna try and simulate some eastern violins now cause this is a track off the new album, and it's entitled Kashmir. Enter eastern violins.

In fact a journey, a rather doom laden journey in fact it depends what day it is really. This once again features Mr. Jones on keyboards. Je's doing a very good job these days. When we finish this tour he goes straight to Las Vegas. He's got his candle sticks already, and ah, this is for the soccer fans over there. This is a track called No Quarter.

And connotations can be parallel. The motor car can be parallel to the body. This is a song about the motor car, but it's all about cocks. It's called Trampled Underfoot.

James Patrick Page. Jimmy Page guitar. Let me see, that was September 1968, and then came the dark ages. We wrote a lot of nice things, and we wrote some thing we want to forget, and one of the things that I don't think we'll ever forget is John Paul Jones trying to tune the mellotrons. It shant be, but a minute, if you could just smile for a minute. The oboes are now in tune. We'd like to smile.
