San Diego. Good evening. Now we got to tell you a few things, and the first one is, if you could listen, if you could shut up a minute, if you could shut right up. Don't get pushing around. Just stand or sit down. Just stand still. Don't get pushing about because it effects what we're trying to do, OK? And the second thing is, it should have been the first, but we really, we're really glad to be back in California, but what happened to the sun? Anyways, it's bound to shine tomorrow. Our intention tonight is to try and cut across the music we've done over the last six and a half years. Do a crossection of all the music we've ever done. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, a little bit of old, and it starts, it starts something like this.

Good evening. How long's it been? How long's it been since we had this little meeting before? Two years? Well, in that case, we better, stand still. Are you drunk or is it qualuudes? Whichever, keep it cool, keep it cool. Well, if it's been two years, we better give you some new stuff, and ah, this is something that comes from way way way way way back, and we just caught it.

Before: The Song Remains the Same
That was, as you were probably aware, from a long play record that finally, after all these months, came out. Physical Grafitti. If you could creat some kind of order amidst the chaos, then you'd be achieving hust what we all try and do sooner or later. So try and keep it, don't wiggle around so much. You can ball afterwards. Mind you, it's good music to ball to. This is a song that came to us ah, about three years ago, after we travelled, and travelled, and travelled, met a lot of people, and met a lot of things, but found that, in the end, The Song Remains the Same.

Before: Kashmir
Welcome back to San Diego. Right, that featured, hey listen, just please. It really, it really foils the continuity of what we're trying to do. If you could keep it a little but human, OK? Here's a track of um, here's a track off Physical Grafitti that features John. It's about another one of those journeys that, even if you just went to San Bernadino, you could end up in the same place as we did. This is called Kashmir.

Before: No Quarter
A new one. Was that OK? Can we ask you please to cooperate, and move back so the people at the front don't get their belly's tossed around in little bits and pieces? If anybody's gonna enjoy this, they ain't gonna be able to enjoy it if they're half was across a piece of wood. So, could you please do the obvious thing? That doesn't mean sideways. That doesn't mean round and round. That doesn't mean. That means just move back a little bit, OK? Right, that was John Paul Jones yet again, playing the mellotron with a little bit of Lebonese in it that time. This next track features the, yet again magical fingers of John Paul Jones. It's a track, another track about a journey. It's called No Quarter.

Before: Trampled Underfoot
John Paul Jones grand piano. A long time ago in the American heritage of folk music, there are, there were singers who used to be called blues singers, and one of these guy's names was Robert Johnson, and he did a hell of a lot for contemporary rock blues. Elmore James, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and anybody you like, and, and he used to sing songs about sex, and he used to shroud the songs in a gown of non importance, and we tried to do this with this one. It's a thing that you might have heard, and on the other handm you might not. It's called Trampled Underfoot.

Before: Moby Dick
Good evening. So, the connotations are always there, right? Isn't it strange how the lemon and honey remains the same? Our next feature, one of the most exciting men on the roster tonight. The man who gave you everything he's got to give. The man who went walking through the park everyday. The man who is managed by Peter Grant, who had a purple hat on and was standing in the wings. The man who played with Led Zeppelin everynight until the end of the tour, and then he started again. The man with only two cavities. John Bonham. Moby Dick.

Let's hear it for John Bonham. Moby Dick. Long long time ago. I could still remember how music used to make me smile, and um, about six and a half years ago, we got, we got together in a little room in London, and ah, we decided that we should play a few tunes to see if whether it was good or bad. The first thing that we played gave us the decision that we should never ever stop. This was it.

Jimmy Page guitar. Somewhere along the line ah, amidst the chaos, amidst the chaos young man, now and again a little light faded through to everybody, right? Just a little bit. Just enought to keep us going. Well, one day, not too long ago, a little bit of light came through to us, and we're gonna pass it on to you.
